Mangrove Trip

22July, it was raining heavily but 307 still manage to discover what is inside the mangrove. My team with instructor Shawn, went in to the "back mangroves". I saw many Vinegar Crabs blending in with their surroundings. They stay at the peak of mud lobster mounds that were dug out by Mud Lobsters in order to be safe from their predator and the water that comes during high tide. Adult vinegar crabs can grow to 4-5cm long and they are also leaf eaters but they are meat scavengers too. Vinger crabs are also called Tree-Climbing crab which will climb tree in order to avoid predation.

We saw Sea Hibiscus along the trail as well. They are plants with heart-shaped leafs which makes them easy to spot and identify.

What did i see there?
How is the environment in the mangroves?
Write about what I have done in this CIP.
